Improving ground attack missions in careers; a few ideas.

1. Airfield attacks

I noticed that, the only time an enemy airfield will be heavily defended and actually retaliate is if its actually your primary target. Any other enemy airfield will have like only 2 flak guns and a searchlight to defend it and they wont even fire at you. You will be free to strafe all parked planes unhindered. That definately needs improvement. More guns that will actually do something eventually, maybe scramble fighters too?

2. Vehicles, armor columns, trains.

Ok. Why do we never cross any tank or vehicle columns unless its your primary target? I remember in the old Il2, there were vehicles and tanks here and there, trains too. Now in GB, only the specific area around your primary target looks alive. Everything else looks like the ghost of a warzone. Artillery, a few machine guns near the front, thats it, everything else doesnt look dynamic at all.

3. Variety

Ok. Every columns are exactly the same all the time. River crossings, always the same setup, a destroyed bridge but you actually need to destroy the ponton bridge next to it, same amount of tanks and vehicles around it etc etc. There's much room for improvement there, it would be cool to not know exactly what to expect of a ground mission before you even take off.

4. Ground attacking AI.

They always target AAA and flak first. If you missed the bridge dont count on the AI to do it. They will NEVER strafe parked planes either. Also the AI in the role of fighter bomber is extremely confused if near the primary target vicinity. Like they didnt know if they actually need to engage enemy fighters around or still look for ground targets. Sending orders as a leader wont really help, it might actually send them into a coma in which they start to fly straight at low throttle waiting for death. The AI has many huge flaws, the behavior of AI in the fighter bomber role being one of them. Its particularly obvious when flying the 262 in that role.
