Tank Ai issues

Hi all I see that tank crew is on sale and considering making the purchase. I remember reading about terrain issues though like ai knowing locations of player tanks in forests etc. 

have these issues been fixed since then and as a tank sim fan can you recommend this and is the mp good and does it have a decent enough amount of players? what are the current big negatives i should be aware of thanks in advance

If you are interested in WWII armored vehicles, I think Tank Crew is really the best SIM on the market at the moment. I have no problem recommending it, especially when its on sale. You should watch some YouTube to get an idea about maps and general game play, but there is a decent amount of SP content available from the community, a quick mission builder where you can build SP content on the fly, and the MP forums are starting to pick up. Have a look through the forum, and check out out the Multiplayer Servers subForum to get an idea on the MP scene. The game sees regular updates and revision from the Dev team, so I don't really have anything major as a negative, but one can always find something to complain about it you look hard enough. Good luck with your decision.

Not really, there is a good amount of activity. It's a good sim, I enjoy it a lot.

The AI won't shoot you if you are more than 50 meters in a forest.  However, I have been tagged while hiding, without having exposed myself,  behind buildings and on the other side of revetments that the AI couldn't "see" through and had to shoot through to get me.  I can't give any comment on the current AI's firing at targets in terrain defilade.  For a game that relies so heavily on AI the AI is clearly not up to the task and yet, those frustrations aside, the game is still worth it for me.
