Stalingrad career skip (in 2 missions from Advance to Volga to Air Bridge)

I was playing a Stalingrad career with II./JG 52 and have set progression to rapid. Starting at the beginning with Advance to Volga I had 2 missions to play to progress to On the near approaches. Which is a perfectly fine pace. Then upon proceeding to next day the campaign jumped straight to Air Bridge (thus skipping City Assault, Prelude to Counter-Offensive and Operation Uranus). So only 2 missions from 23.8.42 to 26.11.42. I was looking forward to reading the newspapers and enjoying the phase intros ?

I'm guessing this is a bug and not the true meaning of "rapid" career progression, right?

Not a bug - II./JG 52 left the Stalingrad front for a while and then returned at a later stage. When that happens in career mode, the game skips over any days it's not based on the map.
