Air vs Ground Quick mission

How does one set up a air-to-ground quick mission?  If I select an air-to-air mission with ground targets, I can't select 0 enemy aircraft.  The other missions are armor vs. armor or solo.

I'm not home to look but pretty sure I chose a solo mission off the map and ground targets are automatically placed. I don't think in the current version you can choose what ground units to spawn however I believe the next update will change this

Solo will still put you up against whatever ground targets you select.

QMB lets you choose zero aircraft and then choose different types of ground targets as well as AAA.

I don't believe QMB does allow you to choose zero enemy aircraft, at least last time I checked it didn't.

This was an annoyance for me too several years ago (!) and I reported it to devs in Suggestions. (Hopefully the upcoming Advanced QMB will bring improvements here)

My workaround has been to choose a single Ju52 (or C47 ) as the enemy flight and put them to the maximum distance setting so they don't interfere.

Maybe I remember wrong but I know you can do it.  You might have to select one of the circles with only one airplane in it.

You've been able to select zero enemy planes in conjunction with ground targets for years now. :)

Choose the solo flight and the ground targets will be there. It has the added bonus of being able to start from the ground, meaning you can practice taking off with a heavy load.

Also worth mentioning that the new Advanced QMB will probably bring back the ground attack/strike missions from the old Campaign mode which should make for a more enjoyable attack mission.

?   Ok. Maybe some confusion here.

I'm (and I think the OP) talking about being able to set up a ground attack mission with a whole flight of friendly aircraft (say il-2s) without having to also set enemy aircraft. You always need to set at least one enemy afaik. If there is a way around that please tell me how.

I know you can do it for the single aircraft option.

Easy, set up a multi fight, as your enemy select one unarmed Dakota, select your hearts desire for ground assault support, put the Dakota up at 30K.

If the Advanced QMB is like the old IL2-46 QMB, of better yet the B.A.T. version, that will be fantastic!

Really looking forward to what it's going to be like.
