Piece of Junk? Why the P-39 was so hated       

"Although successfully used in the Soviet Union and in the Mediterranean, the P-39's Airacobra reputation in the Southwest Pacific was poor. To explain this, we need to look at the context of its use in the area."   Focuses on USAAF use of the P-39 on New Guinea and at Guadalcanal.    Good interview with Justin who does a CBI_PTO podcast.  Fairly negative review of the P-39, to include how it was nicknamed "The Iron Dog".  But one can only dream that the next IL-2 Great Battles DLC module after Battle of Normandy will be ground-based Southwest Pacific and we'll see the P-39 there?
