Platz Schutzstaffel Pitomnik in Il 2 career mode

Is there a way to move on to other fronts from this career campaign or is it over... Love to move onto the Kuban campaign but doesn't seem I can transfer to a new Staffel.

I think my Pitomnik career let me pick my new Kuban career afterwards. Best make a new squadronleader career, skip missions to the end of it, and see for yourself!

Once a section of a career is over you can continue on into the next chronological battle.
If your unit is present in the next battle then you can choose to stay with them, but if not then you just have to pick a new one.
As Platzschutstaffel Ptomnik does not exist after Stalingrad this will be the case for you.

The logical choice would be III./JG.3 which is the Geschwader Platzschutstaffel Ptomnik was drawn from, but they don't have an overly large presence in Kuban before being transferred early on- in choosing them however you would be able to extend the career all the way into Bodenplatte as they end up on the Western Front after Kuban.

Alternatively if you want the full-length Kuban experience then II./JG 52 is the on the front for the full duration of the battle.
