[KG]Destaex Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 (edited) Be nice for my steam friends to see me playing it in case they are interested. Shame I cannot write a steam review. Just wondering if it is worth linking to steam. Edited April 5, 2021 by [KG]Destaex
[KG]Destaex Posted April 5, 2021 Author Posted April 5, 2021 Actually just thinking about it. Steam will only show me as playing il2-BOS and not tank crew anyways. So not really great advertising for the tanks part of the game. Pretty pointless really.
BlitzPig_EL Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 This is a STEAM issue, not an IL2 Great Battles issue. Steam sees every release from the Great Battles Series as a DLC for Battle of Stalingrad. Jason and the dev team have no control over this. Steam is a good service, but it is far from perfect.
ShampooX Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 This is probably a me thing more than a Steam thing, but I could not get it to recognize my Tobruk download and after a while and alot of research, I just gave up. Plus, Steam was constantly trying to update and that was slowing my system down. I eventually just uninstalled it. I'm just gonna stick with Great Battles modules from here on in. 1
[KG]Destaex Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 (edited) Works fine for me in steam. However all my friends see is il2 sturmovik being played. They know I like flight sims. So that is what they get out of it. It is what it is. But is another example of how tanks are the poor cousin in this game. It should be heavily marketed in tank circles like with the chieftain or bovington's channel with Mr Fletcher. Maybe even the podcast two tankers and a cat. The outsourced company should be doing interviews. Edited April 6, 2021 by [KG]Destaex
