Ledg Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 Shoot off 6 rounds of cannon, switch to gunner, press default "reload guns" key, switch back to pilot, nothing. It sounds like he is reloading his pistol. Also does not work from pilot position. Please help.

Hit the trigger one more time, then hit reload from the pilot position and verify in the ammo counter on the dash (look around the gunsight) a light will come back on after the reload sound. You can also verify in gunners position and see the rounds reloaded. Edited April 3, 2021 by Plurp
Yogiflight Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 @Ledgas you wrote, you changed position to gunner's position, I would guess, your issue is a different one, than the one Plurp answered, however this was the first one I was thinking of, too. As you hear a sound like the gunner would reload his pistol, my guess is the key you are pressing is not the 'Reload all guns' key, like you should for reloading the main guns, but the 'Reload turret guns' for reloading defensive guns. The sound you are hearing is the gunner loading through the rear guns. If you would press the key for 'Reload all guns', you wouldn't hear anything. So assign a button or key for the command 'Reload all guns' and press this one sittinig on the pilot's seat after shooting your six rounds either in a burst, or if shooting in single shots, do like Plurp told you and press the fire button a seventh time before reloading. The reason for this is, the bolt has to be in forward position for reloading.
Ledg Posted April 4, 2021 Author Posted April 4, 2021 Thanks for your comments. Tried changing the reload key. Tried firing 7 shots. Rebooted the game. Now I am no longer hearing the reload noise nor am I getting the reload dialogue even. Checked to see if the keyboard was malfunctioning. Seems fine. Stumped.

There will not be any reload dialogue when reloading from the pilot seat. You can do a test before firing any rounds. Hit reload from the pilot seat, you should see the 4 red machine gun lights flicker as if re-cocking. This will indicate that the reload key is working. Edited April 4, 2021 by Plurp
