oc2209 Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 Most, possibly all, of my career save errors occur during Bodenplatte. I just had one today. I mention this because I wonder if it's related to another issue that I see only during Bodenplatte: invincible planes. This is now the third occasion in which I've (knowingly) encountered invincible planes; frequency is increasing. It's possible (but unlikely) that it happens more often and I just don't see it. Once I arrive on the scene, though I have not witnessed it directly, I suspect the above plane is destroyed by its contact with the ground. My reasoning is that upon entering the target area, I get the 'mission complete' message without having done anything. Normally, this only triggers when an enemy ground attack plane is shot down (the mission was to intercept ground attack planes). So it appears as though the plane is in some kind of suspended invulnerable state until I trigger the enemy AI's response by entering the target area, at which point it becomes vulnerable again, and then promptly self-destructs from ground contact. I see no sign of wreckage when I cycle through enemies (F2 view) as I normally would if an enemy crash-landed but didn't explode; so it either explodes or simply vanishes, but is registered, evidently, as destroyed. One time, however, the enemy AI was invulnerable even after I entered the area. I could fire into any plane (not just one) with no effect at all, and it couldn't be destroyed even after crashing into the ground (during maneuvers, not crashing from being damaged). After this 190D career sortie, I got the 'mission save error'. I'm not using any mods.

Does the mission file save only the last mission, be it quick or career or whatever? For future reference. I've flown a few quicks since the career one bugged out. Also, here's more screens from another incident (I don't have any tracks yet): This is from a few days ago, also a Bodenplatte ground attack intercept: As you can see, it skidded through the tree line with zero damage, and is now floating. Same plane and sortie as above. Here I've struck the tail, and in the next shot... ...there's no damage, despite the clear puffs of smoke and debris. Here's another plane from a different angle, same sortie: And finally, these two are from the first incident I recorded of this nature, back in February of this year (according to the screen name); this is also in Bodenplatte, but in a 109 career:
