It’s the trees.  They’re very green.

Europe IS green.

'England's green and pleasant land', the 'Emerald Isle', the 'Green Fields of France' etc.

Unless it is summer, in which case it is brown with a bit of green.

I find early soviet planes to be painted by a very lazy guy, and he got away with it.

And that calls for respect

This is the light.bmp that gives all the spring, summer and autumn maps their color. Its in the sky file. The reason everything is green is because the top line is sunlight ( yellow ) and the second line is ambient light ( blue ). When they are mixed it makes green.

It also makes the cirrus clouds hard to see with the Blue Ambient since the sky is also blue. ( Notice the first two pics. )

I wouldn't say green per say, the colors look more like washed out to me. Lacking good contrast. This is particularly visible if you have a color calibrated monitor.

Here is hoping the new engine comes sooner than later...

That's the main reason why I used to use reshade and/or the Nvidia thing to alter the colours before they blocked that behind the Mods=On setting. It feels really washed out a lot of the time.

I much prefer your version! is there a way to use this without mods?

When i look at the screenshots section of the forum I'm always struck by how screens posted by skinners usually look so much better. Presumably they have set colour balance and settings to more reasonable and accurate values.

Some of the 'tweaks' people use to spot more easily - e,g turning off HD and setting Gamma to 0.8 or lower, and some of the Reshade settings that were used can turn it all bad pretty quickly.
