Dear Friends!

Today’s DD is not long, but wanted to say that in addition to working on many aircraft, features and improvements, we’re also making some moves internally with the addition of, and search for, new personnel while adding responsibilities to others. This adds overhead costs to our operation which we hope will pay for itself in time, but we ask that you continue your financial support of Sturmovik throughout this spring and summer and al of 2021 by purchasing new content and buying gifts for your friends, family and squadron-mates. And please remember, purchases made directly in the IL-2 Official Webstore benefit the team the most!

Both new items look great. Love the Nieuport 28's lines and that the tactical codes are already working there too! Fantastic.

Can't wait to fly the Nieuport! She looks absolutely gorgeous.

Regarding the paratroopers, I do wonder though what their visible distance will be. I did a quick 'n dirty infantry mod a while back, which basically just spawns the infantry you see running away from vehicles if you damage them. It only really works for the BOS infantry though, since the more recent infantry models are only visible from up close, which as a pilot is something you'll only rarely be. I don't suppose there's any chance of increasing the visible range? :P

The N28 was always my favorite Nieuport.  Beautiful, clean lines.

That sounds very interesting. I am curious to see which ideas and plans will be implemented in the future. There are still so many beautiful planes waiting to be implemented by you. :fly:

I wish you every success with the implementation. Hopefully many more exciting and successful years of IL2 Great Battles. ?

Happy Easter!!!! And thank you for all your work!

Me too, together with a B25, B26 and the A20G hopefully one day.

Or whatever they come off with.

Have a nice day.

Good work as always Jason and Team! Loving the detail put in the paratrooper and other assets in this simulation.?Any word on the Fuel/Systems works or droptanks? Normandy is going to be an unmatchable experience when everything combines.

Well done and promising, but my personal platoon sergeant alas put a lid on my IL2 budget;

bought FC2, BoN for myself, and four BoX extended packages plus some collector planes as gift ...

The paratrooper is really impressive, can we finally hope for a flyable C-47?

Those infantry models look better than some full blown FPS games, good job

And those paratroopers... Excellent!

Beautiful plane and paratrooper!

Just a small detail question; shouldn't the patch not bend with the sleeve?

Well, it didn't in real life so ... :) .  Kind of like the Pfalz, it's a looker but I would rather trust my life to a SPAD.

One could argue that it’s better to die fabulously than to live plain :P

Myself, I think the SPAD looks better.

Awesome little Noop28.?

Sorry but that's BS. It flew extremely well. It just had problems at higher speeds, in dive, ....just like half of WW1 planes.

It bled too much speed during maneuvers, in ROF, because the developers used Spad 13's wing profile, in the FM of the Noop28...

Any chance you could change the paratroopers from the 100-and-worst to the 82nd? ?

Seriously though, they look great and spot on.

Awesome to see the first FC II aircraft in game, I'll be getting that one once a few of the first aircraft drop and the progress on the BON paratroopers!  I'm really excited to hear they are hiring too! I really hope they are looking to bring on some folks with business development and marketing backgrounds instead of just more coders and/or 3d modellers/artists though.  A permanent and more active community manager and someone focused on marketing of the sim in general would be awesome!

Shedding wing fabric, poor roll rate, sometimes balky throttle, not easy to deal with torque.  Better than the Pfalz and Alb which were both long in the tooth by Spring of 1918, but not really a great matchup for the D.VII.  The SPAD could outfly the D.VII in at least some ways.

The N28 wasn't a terrible plane but it wasn't a world beater either, at least not in mid 1918.
