Is reshade no longer possible in IL2?

Just bought a new computer and installed IL2 and tried to add Reshade but no luck. Am I doing something wrong or is Reshade no longer possible?  Saw something on Reddit that said it is no longer possible to add in IL2

I believe it was being used as a spotting cheat so has been blocked/disabled.... It's been a while since that was the issue of the day so I can't clearly remember.

Reshade 4.6.1 works for me but I am pretty sure I read here somewhere that later versions had trouble. Blocking it is a server side setting I believe.

Just an FYI for VR flyers who may notice this thread, reshade will not work with VR and the developer has stated he doesn’t plan to add VR support

Installed the last reshade and it works fine. Only playing SP though.

Tonemap

Curves

 

The Tonemap settings are : exposure to 0.100 & Saturation to 0.400

The Vibrance setting is: 0.150

The Curves setting is original

Just tried it, i did not like the results, and removed it and all the ini and dll files.

but what is ReShadeFX32.exe, found in this folder here?:

Unfortunately, the VR version is disabled on many servers. Really unfortunate.

Perhaps PWCG and only offline flying will be my path forward.

The visuals in VR was so much more immersive and great feeling.
