Collector's Planes Question

So i bought the 109 G6 and LA5-FN. It says they are available to fly in career mode in later Kuban battles. Yes i see them and their squadrons on the map...but i cannot pick them directly?

 

My question is: do they become available later "within" the career mode timeframe as a squadron upgrade?

From memory, I had the G-6 available for the last 2 months or so of my Kurban career.

Try the later stages of the battle during the summer or fall periods. They should become available then and you should be able to see them as part of a squadrons roster just like any other fighter.

 

BTW: If memory serves, most of the La-5FN squadrons start out with a mix of La-5 and 5FN so you'll probably end up flying both unless you're squadron leader and want to fly the FN exclusively.

It is pretty easy to find out. When you select the first chapter of BOK, the G6 and La-5FN are greyed out. Go through the chapter selection until they get white. From remembering, they are only available in the last chapter. But start as squadron leader, otherwise the chance is pretty high, you will rarely fly them, but the G4/La-5 ser.8.
