Claim assists?

Would it be possible to add to PWCG the option of claiming the assist on a downed plane? Just as each player can claim his own kills in the combat log, maybe there could be an option underneath for claiming the number of assists. Me and my friends constantly run in the problem of A shot down X, when it was B who damaged them the most.

Honestly not likely in the near future.  The rules around claim verification and matching victories to pilots is already pretty complex.  The logs frequently do not tell me who shot down whom.  With incomplete data and the existing claims system there is quite a bit of fuzzy logic going on in there.  Adding in partials and assists and then varying the rules based on nation would not be an easy task.

 

Never say never, but it's not on the radar right now.
