oc2209 Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Yes, this is a petty want. Yes, I'm deeply ashamed of myself for bringing it up. No, I don't have a life, and never will. Moving on. In the 190D, the following photo location would be, in my opinion, an unobtrusive improvement to the current location: In the A series, any of the following 3 arrow locations could be used instead of the current location: Excuse the badly drawn arrows. The pointed tips of the arrows represent where the top of a picture could be attached without covering any instruments. Point being, having the photos hang freely under the dash isn't a problem; the 109 does this with all its photos. This kind of attachment would bring the Fw-190's pictures in line with most planes, instead of the A-8 and D especially, where you can't see the photo much at all. The A-4 and -5 aren't bad as they are (I don't know what the A-6 looks like yet), but it wouldn't hurt to move them up to the dash regardless. 3
Charlo-VR Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Yes, very much, please! I use the below pilots notes mod and the above suggestion would make it usable in the A-8 and D models

This legitimizes the suggestion considerably. In truth, I was just annoyed by having photos in the cockpit that you either couldn't see at all, or could see only by looking pretty much straight down. I can understand having few good options in a really cramped cockpit, but the 190's not that small. Moving the location of the A-3, 5, (and 6?) photo isn't necessary for visibility, but right now it just looks like it's laying loosely. It'd make more sense to have one corner tucked into an instrument or a nameplate like most other photos are done, and that could be accomplished by moving it up to the dashboard. 1
