When I am in the Commander open hatch view on top of the tank and we are parked under a tree, there is no shadow present on top of the tank even though in F2 "third person view" the shadow is cast over the entire tank. This tells me the code is written, it just needs to be added to the crews open hatch view. It's nice to feel that shadow when you are in an ambush position - it's reassuring. 2.) The distant tank noises are not loud enough. I've had tanks pass within 500M of me with with no noise at all. Tank engines should at least begin to be audible at 1km and as they hit 500KM, directionally clear. It's in the code so it should be an easy adjustment. Thanks and I love Tank Crew. 2 3
[KG]Destaex Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 500km? That is a bit far don't you think ? Maybe they think the aircraft will hear them at that distance... no really, maybe that is the problem. Ground noises might propagate vertically as well?

Really I think the directional clarity can be pushed out to 1000m which would only be about a little more than a half mile. I don't know though, I was playing the other night in PZ4 with gunner hatch open (i.e electric motors off) and I did hear a T34 that quickly turned out to be a 600M kill in my sight. Heard it before I saw it which is the way it's supposed to work. I just barely heard it though. and didn't have a solid direction (thankfully it turned out to be on the next hill over at 12:00, easy shot). Could be my cruddy headphones too.
