Some question about Tempest and Spitfire Mk.IX

Hi,

I have some questions about the recent updates that changed these two planes.
1. As I understand, the better (default pre-update) engines are now considered upgrades in the modification options?
Does the Tempest upgraded engine has the same performance as before update? I feel like it still does not reach the high speeds as before the update with the upgraded engine. Am I wrong? It may also be the fact that I did not fly for several months.

2. How does it behave in the Scripted Campaigns and Single Missions? Is the new default now is non upgraded engines? This will take out all the "fun" out of some of the missions :(

Also I feel like this change was not well communitaced to the community, at first I was sure my game is bugged and\or my game difficulty settings are different, spent hours tweaking the options before I have found the upgraded engines in the modification options in the quick combat.. And I tend to read forum Dev updates every week. I feel very silly ?:russian_ru:

There have been no recent changes.

Tempest had been the same since launch. Are you using the supercharger after certain altitudes?

Spitfire got the 150 oct option later but the two merlin options were there since launch too. For 150 oct you need to manually switch the supercharger.

The Tempest doesn't need the +11lbs against AI to be good. The normal campaigns usually have you fight the entire Luftwaffe, though.

Even though that usually results in quite high kill-tallies, it kind of gets old after three missions. Especially since your squad-mates are pretty useless.

Also the +25lbs Spit is quite competitive (even without the additional power) if flown with half a brain. It's not quite as fast as the opposition, but it can turn exceptionally well and has a very good climb.
