Help with Simple and Advanced Congifguration

Im brand new to PWCG and I am trying to set up my first campaign. Im am wanting to tweak the settings to how I want my battlefield to be but I can't find much info on what each thing does exactly in both Simple and Advanced Configuration settings. Is there any forum post or video that goes through them all, or do I need to really just use trial and error?

In the Advanced Configuration of your campaigns, try hovering with the mouse over the topics listed, that will let you make an informed decision about most things.
