It really is just awful.  Well awful for anyone looking for even the most remote amount of realism.  Unfortunately for society there is an entire plague in the form of simple minded mouth breathers that crave instant gratification, unrealistic, garbage gameplay, that somehow sucks their wallets dry.

Woah, calm down. Just because people like different stuff than you doesn't mean they're a plague of 'simple minded mouth breathers'. And last time I checked, no problems in society are caused by a lack of flight sim players.
