S!,

I was wondering if the Nvidia control can affect the colors within in IL2 BOX? I use a HP Reverb G2 and I want to brighten up the color palate to match what I see on my 3440 x 1440 monitor. I haven't fooled around with the settings because I don't think they'll work w/ VR googles. Has any tried this by using vibrant colors within the Nvidia control panel?

TIA,

Try this: open the startup.cfg and set gamma to 0.7 and save this startup.cfg. Start the game, do not change the ingame settings as it will readjust the gamma settings and see now the results.

Also set in bloom in the startup to 0 incase you still have bloom enabled.

I'm sorry. Those settings don't change the nature of color in VR. I've been using the same 2 tweaks since I first got my G2. I'm trying to gain the same sense of color in my googles as I see on my monitor. Gamma and bloom will not really change what I'm currently seeing in the googles vs monitor. VR, in general, seems to dampen the color out of most games.

The screens in VR headsets still aren't all that great (we really need HDR VR!).

To answer your question: no
Nvidia colour settings do not change anything in VR.

If you are playing in singleplayer the VR enhancer mod by Lefuneste could come in handy, available here:

It doesn't work in multiplayer servers however. If it did I'd update some of the shaders I wrote for it (curve contrast, true vibrance, colour correction).

Thanks Peregrine. You just confirmed what I was trying to do. I played with the color settings using Nvidia control panel and I couldn't tell a difference.
