Paths of hate on the Eastern front, a little bit more optimistic perspective.

Sorry, but no athmosphere at all due to modern music which totally doesn't fit to the 1940s. What a pity. Feels like shooter kiddies have done the video with no feeling of historical immersion...

Looks like you do not have a lot of experience. Those pilots in the video were very good and there are a lot of tactical lessons to be learned. For example how the FW 190 did the right thing after messing up, overshooting and spinning. An example how to jink etc. An example of rolling scissors and how to counter people who deploy prematurely the flaps etc.

Wuerger is talking about the music, which I also dislike. Music is a matter of personal taste, so please don't take this as an attack.

I enjoyed the video nonetheless!

I will say this, when you were zig-zagging to get back on the 190 you already had seen the 109 coming up on you. Better to be defensive at that point (when he is still just outside the turning circle) than to go for the shot. Also when the 109 was firing at you, better to keep the turn going then jink out of plane instead of constantly reversing as this gave the 109 plenty of easy shots. On the whole you flew pretty well! S!

When you fly on full real you do not have the opportunity to see all the time who is coming on your six, especially when you are engaged in scissors. If you keep the turn againsts a 109E you are as good as dead. 109 is excellent in slow turning especially against Lag, you need to fly both sides to have a proper perspective. The 109 was expecting something like that that is why he deployed the flaps. Basically when somebody is behind you and hitting you can bet he is already inside your turning room.
