Помогите запустить игру в таком режиме:

OS - Windows 7

Гарнитура - Oculus Quest 2

Видео - GTX460

USB 3.0 - отсутствует

Oculus под Windows 7 поставить не могу.

Try to use OpenComposite and Oculus Tray Tool.

If I am reading that correctly, not going to be able to play any VR on a GTX 460 GPU.

Windows 7 has not been supported by Oculus for about a year now, hence why you can't install the software. The GTX 460 is well below the minimum required card to run PC-based VR too. Finally, it is not recommended to use anything less than USB 3.0 when connecting a HMD to your PC because it just isn't fast enough to keep up.

Even if my some miracle you can hack Oculus onto that system and get it running, with your specs you have pretty much zero chance of running BoX in VR. The GTX 1060 in the old PC I've just replaced could only just handle it.

You would have been better served spending the money on a PC upgrade before buying into VR, to be honest.

I didn't even catch that LOL. What is that gpu from like 2010? Can it even run flat screen in 720p on low @30 fps?

Okay,

Another option of mine is ROG Strix G512LW - it's a laptop

I installed OpenComposite and Oculus Tray Tool but when launch Il2 game suddenly stops running without any warnings after I hit play in launcher.

What's wrong?

To eliminate potential causes, I would just try running the sim without OpenComposite for now, through SteamVR. Get things running first, then worry about squeezing every last frame of performance out of it afterwards.

Okey, I made it running, receive no video in my Oculus Quest 2, though I see VR picture on laptop clearly. There's no error shown - just empty SteamVR scene. Any help?

When I start game I see: "Неправильная видеокарта - Пожалуйста, подключите шлем и основной монтиор к одной видеокарте". Then game runs on laptop, but empty SteamVR scene with Il2 loader (cannot touch it). I hear in-game sound in my helm though.

How are you connecting the Quest to your laptop? A little research shows that this problem can occur depending on what cable you are using. There have also been reports that you should connect it via USB Type-C rather than the HDMI 2.0 port. The specs of your laptop show that it does have one of these ports, though you might need to buy a cable if you don't already have one.

Same thing, if I connect my Quest 2 via Type-C link

DCS World runs perfectly

That's strange. DCS has a dedicated Oculus mode, so perhaps the issue is with SteamVR itself?

How did you install OpenComposite? Did you use the single dll file, or did you do a system-wide install?

I bought Il2 from 1С directly, not from Steam - so I haven't the game in my Steam library. If I change dll to new one, then start Open Composite - the game just doesn't start. I click "Play" in launcher, game starts and shuts down right now.

Okay, this shouldn't be this hard...odd. Do you have "enable unrecognized apps" in the Oculus settings? Maybe IL-2 is trying to run of the iGPU instead of the dGPU?

Yes, I enabled all permissions

Doesn't make any difference which "version" you have.

There are two ways of installing OpenComposite. One is that you place a DLL file into the game folder where the exe is located, usually overwriting a file with the same name. The other is that you install the OpenComposite app and activate it, meaning it will apply itself to every game that would normally use SteamVR without any further input from you. I've found that some games prefer one method over the other.

For me, replacing the DLL does NOT work for my Rift S. It results in exactly what you say... the game doesn't start. Using the OpenComposite app DOES work for me though, so give that a try instead.

1. When I run the game via OpenComposite I receive the following error twice - https://prnt.sc/10gchyx

2. If I run the game via SteamVR, I see only default SteamVR empty scene, with a window with a Il2 logo. My Steam VR app detects my headset, so I see on a laptop how I move my head. Then the game loading freezes, and I receive a message "Неправильная видеокарта".

3. I attached a log with system messages, it may be helpful.

Did you check enable vr in the il-2 settings?

Here are the basic steps:

install open composite

plug in quest 2 to usb c

start oculus

start il-2 with vr checked

Did you actually try both the different install methods or not?
