Assistance with display setup

Just purchased a new monitor and I need help setting up the color and graphics settings.  I used the settings mentioned under the general heading for graphics in game, but see the need for improvement.  My hardware:  RTX 2070 (laptop), 144hz, 2560x1440 monitor.  Seems like the shadows load late as well.  I have HDR turned on.  Note how dark it is aft engine cowl.  I've messed with the contrast and gamma, but it doesn't seem to improve.
