I made a help for installing and using pwcg.

This document is a translation of the original French document via google translate.

It was made thanks to the many explanations that I was able to consult on this forum, especially from Pat Wilson.

Since I am new to using pwcg, there may be some errors you can tell me. there may also be translation errors.

I started to look at it.  You put in a lot of work so that is appreciated.  The downside is that it is going to take some time to review it.  I'm wondering if we can't turn this into a wiki page that anybody can edit.  TBH I do not have the bandwidth to maintain perfect documentation, so this is appreciated.

yes it is possible to create a wiki page. I've never done it but I can find out. if a server is needed, I have a pc which serves as a server for bos.

I have good bandwidth.

I installed a wiki on my server. I use Wamp and Mediawiki (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki)

I used google translate for the translation so it must have quite a few mistakes.

I added paragraphs dedicated to each parameter of the advanced configuration.

For the creation of an account allowing the editing of the wiki pages, I had to set up a confirmation procedure by an administrator in order to avoid creations by robots.

 

Creation without confirmation is no longer allowed.

"Warning : Cruise speed is kph. The AI is going to make up its own mind about speed. The waypoint speed is only a suggestion and not an order. The AI has to take the requests and process them with all of the other information.
PWCG aircraft have a cruise speed that is used as the WP speed. By opening the aircraft config file and changing cruise speed you will change WP speed.

However, these changes will only be effective when a new campaign is launched."
