Beginner Questions, Thanks for the Patience

Hello guys,

 

I've been polluting the forum with newbie questions over the past week.  Thanks for everyone’s patience, but I’m afraid there’s more :).

 

Finally, after 3 days of delay, Fedex deigned to deliver my G2. I’ve been seeing mention of “per application” settings in WMR for Steam VR, but I’m not clear on how to start the WMR for Steam VR without starting the HMD.

 

Does one have to change settings from within the HMD?

 

Also, is reproduction settings are adjusted from the same spot?

 

Finally, what is this “Steam VR theatre” thing, is it Steam’s equivalent of “The Cliff House”? For it to completely disappear, do I need to uncheck that box for every VR game settings?

 

Thanks so much in advance! I’m coming back to simulations after a 7-8 year hiatus, and perhaps I’m being too ambitious jumping right into VR.

You can make your changes in Steam VR on your desktop.

With Steam VR running open the settings - should be in the Steam VR menu in your systray.

 

In order to set a profile for IL-2 in Steam VR, you will need to either do it with IL-2 running so it shows in your library, or you can manually add IL-2 to both your Steam Library and your Steam VR Library. Be careful adding IL-2 to Steam as a non-Steam game, it may offer you to merge it into your Steam account. You likely will not want to do this.

Oh I didn’t know I could  have a separate Steam VR library!
