161snails Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 Well I took the plunge and bought a new desktop (after using a laptop for many use) that sports a new RTX 3080 and a 5ghz processor. after an age installing everything i fired up IL2 along with my G2 reverb only to find the framrates was...Pants! average 30ish per sec. after messing aobut with setting I flipped over from MSSA to the FXXA and bingo upto 90+ the best thing is there seems very little degredation in visualy quality. anyone struggling to get a decent framrate try that. all setting were on ultra apart from mirrors that are Medium
Riderocket Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 (edited) yes I recently found this discovery as well, MSAA takes a heavy toll. but i find in VR (oculus Rift S) on FXAA everything shimmers alot more. also I think you've posted in the il2 1946 forums instead of the IL2 Great Battles forums Edited March 26, 2021 by Riderocket
