Game freezes on menu screen

Hi having a spot of bother with the steam ver. playing fine on Friday night then when i tried to fire it up on Sunday stuck in game menu.

 

I have validate files with 1 file need reloading and checked to see what it was changes.txt seems to be the culprit.

 

but it still refuses to start displaying Fw190 A-5 and playing the music but not letting me move the mouse and alt-tabbing out says il2 not responding.

 

Tried full reinstall same problem tried unplug all usb devices bar Keyboard ,mouse and joystick still no joy.

 

Even after reinstall still displays Fw190 any ideas anyone?

Could you post your system specs, any peripherals you're using (stick, throttle, etc.), driver version for your Graphics card, etc?

This has happened to me in the past when another program has 'grabbed' the attention of Windows while Il-2 was loading, causing it to hang on launch. So did you have any third-party applications running like Discord or Tacview or anything like that?

Hi my Pc specs are Ryzen 5 3600 Radeon 5700 16gig 3200 RAM with IL2 installed on game M2 drive.

Radeon 21.2.2 driver 

 

 

Peripherals Sidewinder FFb2 Thrustmaster TWCS Logitech Wheel (poor mans rudder pedals)and Leo Bodnar BBi 32 Button box and WMR headset all which have been working fine together for the last few weeks

 

I normally have discord running but since the problem not started it up other stuff thats running is Joy2key and Vrnecksaver.

 

Since it been acting up tried it on monitor and VR not fired up Vrnecksaver disconnected Button box then Wheel then TWCS

 

but it still gets stuck!!

I think i may have found the culprit after reading a old post where someone had same problem due to a usb hub and your suggestion that something was grabbing windows attention turns out it was a bluetooth dongle i had plugged in to transfer some stuff off my phone.

 

Not sure if it was the hardware or software side of it but all device now plugged back in and starts as normal just have to reset controls etc.
