In VR, Bringing mixture/throttle control to idle/cutoff opens a popup menu.

I have experienced this with a couple different setups where when I bring the left most lever of my Logitech quadrant back to idle/cutoff it opens a popup menu in what is either wmr or steam VR (not sure which). This of course is completely annoying especially when it happens in the flare.  I have searched settings in both applications and can’t seem to come up with a solution...does anyone know what’s going on here?

Probably Steam's controller input override nonsense, disable them from the game's properties in your steam library.

Thanks. I tinkered with the game property settings in steam but it’s still an issue. This is the menu that is popping up and it’s not unique to IL2, same happens in DCS. Can anybody help identify what menus this is and how I can disable it.  The “mouse”cursor moves with your head in VR.

Ya this is a fun problem...   you have to turn off the “game pad support” option in steam vr add-ons I believe

The same thing would happen when I used my gear toggle on my dyi button box

It’s in the startup/shutdown tab

This is being caused by your Xinput HOTAS equipment sending same input signal as the 'Select' or Back key on the Xbox controller - It's kind of strange that null throttle activity is bringing it up, but you should be able to correct this by disabling the 'Gamepad' input driver in SteamVR.

Open SteamVR, go to SteamVR Menu > Settings > Startup/Shut Down, click on 'Manage Add-Ons' and turn 'Gamepad' off. (This will not impact how the game itself recognizes the input.)

Restart SteamVR

Thanks Sparta, Yes you are correct, Tech support at SteamVR got around to the correct final answer as well,

Take care
