Quick question, is there a way to edit the ammo belts? Or does the game not like you touching the aircraft?

Only for aircraft where it is a pre-programmed option (several aircraft have choices between mixtures that lean into HE, AP, or HE/AP).

 

If you want to tweak ammo belts you should pick up a copy of Il-2 Cliffs of Dover / Desert Wings.

Thanks for the info. I do have Clod/desert wings ?

 

my question more had to do with modifying American birds. I know I can mix belts in game currently as an option.

As far i know you cant make mod that edits airplanes belts and play with that airplane. So trying to add HE AP mix wont work with mod in game.

There is protection even with mods on what you can mod and what you cant.
