No.23_Triggers Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 (edited) Afternoon, all! Thought it was worth making a quick tutorial on recovering from the Sopwith Dolphin's spin, as it's one of the nastiest in the game and can cause a real headache for newer pilots! To summarise: 1. Keep throttle at 100%! 2. Stick fully towards yourself (I.E, full nose up) 3. Aileron into the spin 4. Rudder against the spin Method #2 (not covered in video): 1. Keep throttle at 100% 2. Stick fully towards yourself (I.E, full nose up) 3. Aileron into the spin 4. Quickly push stick fully forwards This should work for a flat-spin in either direction, but it's a little bit tricker to get out of a left-hand spin on both aircraft. Make sure that you neutralise the controls once the aircraft stops spinning, to avoid getting back into a spin! Edited February 23, 2021 by US93_Larner 7
Cynic_Al Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 You can eliminate the risk of initialising an opposite spin by avoiding use of the rudder altogether. As you said, stick back and in the direction of the spin for at least one second, then push stick forward and in the direction of the spin. Rudder not touched. 1

Good tip - just tried it out and it works a treat
