How to padlock view while inside the cockpit!

I ran into a problem with my camera settings while fixing another problem I had. I can padlock another plane while in external view but can’t padlock another plane while inside the cockpit (internal view). How do I fix it?

happens sometimes- restarting the game usually works for me

Restarting didn't work but setting all camera views to default did work. Then I just re-programmed my CH joystick and throttle to the views that default changed. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to reprogram external zoom back to my CH throttle button it was before but I can learn to live with the default external zoom -- which is Left Control/Mouse Wheel.
