skyhigh75 Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Hi all, nice to meet you. I installed the IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad, but the force feedback on my logitech g940 is not working. My computer specs are MB: Z68X-UD3H CPU: i7 2700K mem: PC3-12800 GRA: GTX1060 3GB Details of the fault 1, I chose JOYSTICK in the settings and set up in PLANECONTROLS. 2. When I play in quick mission, the rolls are heavy and FFB. 3. The PITCH is the problem, it has no weight and the FFB does not work. 4, No problem with Cliffs of Dover Blitz and IL21946. I don't know the cause of the problem. Please let me know if there is a way to fix it.
Ryanair_Walshie Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 (edited) I just got a working Sidewinder Force Feedback 2, and have come to the conclusion that this game has quite a few issues with force feedback. There are different posts about it, with different symptoms. For me, 1 attempt had pretty bad frame stuttering with track IR, which went away after restart. Then I had tension in the stick, but no real force feedback effects where they should be. Toggling the force feedback box in the options caused game crashes. Another restart had no tension in the stick. Then basically I gave up. the good news is that it seems like not everyone has problems, (seemed like less problems with g940), and there were edits to fix some of the issues. If you search around enough you should find them. Edited February 18, 2021 by Walshie
Fallen_Tyrael Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Yep the FFB in this game is a bit odd, and the pitch is a bit weak until you get the aircraft up to speed (like 250mph+). Also you may need to tweak the FFB in your Logitech software so its not as heavy on the roll. My settings are: Overall Effects Strength: 105% Spring Effects Strength: 85% Damper Effects Strength: 85% Untick Enable Centering Spring.
Crocogator Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Hi, first post but this topic is important to me. I'm having the same problem. Basically, with my (new) G940 I have no vertical force feedback. The roll is good, and varies with plane velocity, and the guns, taxiing, and collisions effects work. Just the elevators are completely limp. If you want to make the G940 playable you need to go to the Logitech profiler, select self-centering spring and set the strength to about 60%. Set the spring and damp to 60/70%, effects to 105%. This doesn't really fix things , but at least you get the feedback from the effects (but not from plane surfaces).NB I have not flashed my G940 with new firmware. Hope this gets fixed, somehow!
Crocogator Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Just an update: I decided to reinstall the game (again) and this time the FFB in my G940 has started working again. One of the things I did was to delete all the remaining files in the drive after uninstallation. I hope this helps people with the G940 FFB not functioning on one axis/elevators problem. If everything stays working, I'm happy!
