Intel Mac w/Boot Camp - Black Screen at Startup

IL-2 GB has worked with no problems aside from performance bottlenecks (from hardware limitations) today since I installed it on my computer

Whether I reinstalled, launched from within or outside Steam, or ran with/without administrator permissions, the game launches but gives a black screen. This only became a problem today.

All I know is this issue popped up for a handful of users in the past and that it tends to happen with AMD GPUs. My graphics drivers haven't changed nor did a major game update occur. I only added some custom resolutions via Custom Resolution Utility, which I kept their refresh rates at 60Hz. A few years ago, one guy was SOL after someone helped him through everything. Nobody else was able to find a working solution in this thread:

The only workaround that worked for me so far is turning off full screen. I must Alt + Tab to see where the game is to bypass the black screen. This thread from nearly 5 years ago also suggest it. However, I lose some fps without full screen, while I get a constant 60fps in quick missions while it is enabled with the same graphics settings:
 

However, Xbox Game Bar can still screen record the game like it's working just fine. Here is the difference between what I see on the screen and a sample screenshot Xbox Game Bar captures while not Alt + Tabbed:





I am running with these specs except directly booted into Windows:


War Thunder and IL-2 Cliffs of Dover don't have this problem. My previous MacBook Pro, a 15-inch model from 2018, displayed BoS on the internal display just fine.

Are there any gaming PC users with a Radeon card or Mac users with Boot Camp on this forum who can help find a solution to this?

Have you tried the ATI drivers from https://www.bootcampdrivers.com? 

I've been playing IL-2 since Christmas on a macbook pro with Windows 10 home + bootcamp. My model is the 2019 16" + ATI 5500M + external Dell monitor at 60hz.

Got the February edition from there. The game still had a black screen initially, but it eventually came away. Now it works continuously even after rebooting. Thanks.
