CanadaOne Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 I'll give it a go. I miss the old days (pre-interweb) of living in the middle of nowhere and messing with my shortwave radio and hearing all kinds of weird and wild stuff stuff. I liked Radio Cuba, simply to hear how often the guy could actually say "Radio Cuba" and still maintain a somewhat coherent sentence. "You are listening to Radio Cuba, and welcome to Radio Cuba. Today on Radio Cuba, Radio Cuba presents the 'Radio Cuba Music Hour'. That will be on at 9PM on Radio Cuba. Following the Radio Cuba Music Hour, Radio Cuba presents the 'Radio Cuba Interview Hour', that will be on Radio Cuba at 10PM. You are listening to Radio Cuba." I think they were at war with the VOA and wanted to claim their airwave. I had this one, lots of fun. 1

Dude! Thanks so much for this, I'm lovin' it! Although even though the entire globe is available, I definitely gravitate towards stations back in my old stomping grounds.... http://radio.garden/listen/kozt-fm-the-coast/i7KCkkVh http://radio.garden/listen/kcbx/zNCsCuBL http://radio.garden/listen/kfjc-fm-89-7/G4i2gGLt Edited February 21, 2021 by Stoopy
Stoopy Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 (edited) In my search for instrumental music (because I don't need to hear some guy whining about his girl in any language, I've got problems of my own to think about) I found this very cool station in Germany. I give them bonus points for even playing some Camel, although the DJ decided to just play "Rhayader" without the companion "Rhayader Goes to Town" follow-through. But I still heartily recommend giving this station a listen, I'm digging it very much! http://radio.garden/listen/instrumental-journey/vbJNN1u8 Edited March 20, 2021 by Stoopy 1
