i have noticed than i have lost all control of sensitivity settings its a squirrely way to fly no control any ideas

Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> View Devices and Printers -> find your joystick -> right click -> game controller settings -> choose properties   ...then test your joystick through all it's motions. You may have to reconfigure it.

 when in key mapping and i try to add a stick assignment i get a NULL response no matter what i do any ideas what might be wrong??

Talk up through exactly what you do when this happens.

Joy has nothing to do with a Joystick apparently.

Might have to do with windows update. Two tools you might want to use to fix .. joyID and USBdeview, but you give very little information about your setup.

none of those things and my settings that i change dose not travel to all planes very frustrating makes no logical sense

thanks but type joy in your search bar and you can by-pass all that
