FC custom skins not working

I downloaded the historical and fantasy skins bundles in top post,and installed in skin folders...the DDS images show,but none of them are listed in custom skin load screen.All my other planes custom skins work,but none of my Flying Circus ones do.Any ideas why?I've looked for similar problems online and had no luck.

There's no difference between skins for FC planes and others. They work the same way and fail to work for the same reasons. So my first guess (if you can indeed see custom skins for non-circus content) is that you've just got the skins for FC planes in the wrong folders. So what are the file paths that you have for these DDS images that show? As an example from my game the Camel skins should exist in;

 

\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\data\graphics\skins\SopCamel

 

Also providing more information helps, screenshots etc etc...

I'm a bonehead!I forgot I had an old install on an external HD which was giving me game freeze-ups,and was putting skins in there.Been awhile since I added anything until FC.Thanks for the  reply.
