Briha Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 S! I was looking thru squadrons mentioned here but seems that none is what I m looking for (ok, didn't go thru everyone). Maybe this Wanted post helps. So I am looking for squadron where: * I can be a member even not playing every day or every week because of my work. These are quite rare situations but still. Most likely weekends are possible for squadron activities. I live in Finland, Europe, so some European squadron would be best. I speak Finnish and English. * I don't need to spend weeks in training camp to be accepted as member, few training missions should do that. I played a lot online when EAW was big and when Forgotten Battles was released. After that I have played mostly single missions and campaigns ocassionaly. * I can start from novice settings and go step by step toward realistic settings. All levels of settings are ok if studying flying with new planes for example. * I can use my personal coat of arms in my plane(s). I prefer planes used by Axis. * I don't need to write several pages report after each mission. It's ok to keep somekind kill / ace tables. I'm looking for more fun than writing (I do that enough at work). So... Any squadron suggestions for me?
Panzerlang Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) II/JG3 meets all those requirements. We have two regular sessions a week, flying CloD (until BoS is ready). There's only one training session; as soon as you can get your plane successfully into the air we throw you at the wolves. Attendance isn't mandatory but staying in touch via the forum kind of is, just so we know who's still with us. Our site is here, forum is on the HQ tab. Please feel free to register and ask anything else you want to know. http://ii-jg3.net/ S! Edited June 2, 2014 by II/JG3Siggi
Panzerlang Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 do you care which side you fly for? "I prefer planes used by Axis."
Stray Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 We fly 1946 and this. Got squad campaigns on Saturdays, keep our stats, issue awards based on them, issue skins for all aircraft we fly. No reports from a pilot are needed; the brass does it for them. On weeknights we fly co-operative missions with the public and also keep stats for those. Mainly we fly for the German side but very often we fy for the Allies in co-ops. We have over 1000 missions to choose from and more are coming on weekly basis.. The squad is international with English as squad language. One of our pilots is Finnish. We offer relaxed and friendly atmosphere, no bossing around and we are friends with two major allied squadrons - so there's always a friendly face to fly with or against. Let me know if this sounds like what you seek.
Briha Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 Thanks for comments and recommendations so far. I will study more about squadrons mentioned here.
sialo Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 (edited) do you have many members from australia or that time zone i should say ? Edited July 4, 2014 by cap-jack-
LLv34_Untamo Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) S! Well there are a few finnish squads to look up also. Lentolaivues 8, 24, 26 and 34 are active and couple of more not so active ... We 34s have a history of flying "war missions" after which we would write up mission reports, but flying them after the few training WMs is totally voluntary Anyways, all the finn squads fly together (trainings, coops, DF, SEOW campaigns) nowadays as there isn't such a huge number of us around. Come to the Finnish Virtual Pilots Associations TS3 server some night and come fly with us, joining squads is voluntary Edited September 5, 2014 by LLv34_Untamo 1
