How to start and run FIAT BR 20

Could anyone be so kind to explain to me how to start up and take off on FIAT BR 20?

I did lots of attempts, but wasn't able so far to take off on the Cicogna, it's really unbelievable how it's difficult to runs its engines.

I can just start both the engine just setting the throttle carefully at 10%, but after that, even if I wait some minutes to warm up the engines, as soon as I give throttle, the engines shout off.

Thanks a lot for any help and hints.

Here you are a video about what I do ...

Hello Vespa. I proceeded to one test with one Cicogna in France (not the tropical version) and one supplementary test with the tropical version in Libya. I managed to launch the engines with no problem, I simply followed the flashcard instructions.

What are your mixture settings?

If you are at 0% mixture, you will find the aircraft impossible to run.

Should be at 100% for start and takeoff.

And that is only reduced very gradually as altitude is gained... at approx. 90% at 3000 meters.

Please have a look at the Manual Flashcard.

I followed the Flashcard, but with no luck.

Mixture is 100%, if it would be 0% engines should not starts at all; as you can see from the video both engines runs smoothly at low RPM ( max 410/420 RPM ) ... or this game allow engines to run even with mixture set at 0%?

One note on the BR.20: apparently the boost cut-out device is not working yet on this aircraft, so for the moment I ignore that step... and even so, I manage to start-up the engines and fly the aircraft.

Going back to your video: please note that at 2'18'' you simply spoiled the broth because at this very moment you increased the throttle of engine 2 rather than waiting for full 4 minutes with both engines running at 10% throttle.

Fixed: I have to carefully wait for 4 minutes after start up before pushing throttle
