You are right. I think this is some new tweak he's been working on.

AMD is on a roll. I just hope TSMC can keep up with the demand.

About that debunked announcement.  1usmus is working on a new version of the clock tuner for ryzen and it looks very promising. A beta version was already released to his parteon subscribers and the official version should come out in the near future.

In his videos, looks like his "PX profile" is boosting the best clocks at much higher clocks than the out of the box settings.

Looks like you could select up to four cores in 5600x and 5900x and up to six cores in 5800x and 5950x, to run at much higher boost than the rest of the pack, when playing games.

He managed to balance the heat and power, by downvolting and down clocking the rest of the cores.

It looks very interesting.

My Ryzen 7 5800X will occasionally boost to 5.1 GHz on a single core and more consistently hit 5GHz+ on multiple cores, according to CPUID HWMonitor.

It is liquid cooled in a custom loop, but I have not so far attempted to overclock it in the BIOS. It will hit 4851 MHz on all cores all day long, without breaking into a sweat.

I'm not sure if this is useful or relevant, but it is, well, erm, interesting.

Perhaps this means that if I do try to overclock it I could achieve these speeds continuously, I'm not sure.

However, these may be freakish results, or perhaps inconsistencies in the way CPUID HWMonitor reports clock speeds?

Any thoughts about this, anyone?

I havent ever seen my 5800X at more than 4885MHz.

At default, all cores are at 3600. With boost, I see two or three cores simultaneously reaching 4885.

I have not made OC till now. In idle CPU is at 30°C. Maximum on load has been 70°. Benchmarking I have seen 79°C stables for long time. Never reaching 80°C.
