It should be good news, that the Oculus team has an "in" with a display developer, especially one that can build curved OLED displays.   The competition will be cutthroat to gain major marketshare in such a huge market.  That said, its going to be very hard for the OR's smaller competitors to compete, if Oculus carrys thru with their plan to sell their units at cost.
