Make G-Suits selectable as a plane modification instad of an automatic feature depending on date

Hello,

I would like you to consider changing how equipping G-suits currently works. I find it very confusing that it is implemented in such a way, that you need to be aware of the date of the mission and as I learned only today, you also have to be an American nation/pilot in the mission. If you for example take off from a British airfield in a multiplayer server, you are not getting the G-suit. Moreover, it is sometimes impossible to verify the date if it is not written in the mission description (I have played missions without a specified date) and it is impossible to easily check whether you are wearing the suit or not while sitting in the cockpit, since we don't have pilot models in the cockpit view.

Is there any technical reason why it wasn't implemented simply as a modification that a pilot can choose while setting up his plane while server mission designers could lock this modification, as they can lock other modifications? To me that makes a lot more sense and it would be a lot more clear as to whether your pilot is wearing the G-suit or not.

Thanks

Agreed. It would help clear up a lot of confusion, especially online, where P-51's that are shown to be RAF in origin do not get their G-Suit regardless of date. It could help alleviate a lot of confusion with newer players, and provide more flexibility in mission design. It's not like options like the D9's bubble canopy, or 150 octane for the Spitfire are locked by date.

Yes please! As well as making pilot nationality a modification option for applicable aircraft like the A-20, Spitfire, P-51, P-40 etc....

Or have a written indicator in the mission setup of "this pilot has a G-Suit" or "this pilot does not have a G-Suit because X"?

Oh great, so you have to be an american pilot, so you have absolutely no way, how to determine, if you have G-Suite or not in MP...  Didnt know this before! more over as i understand, even on US airfield in MP, british plane can spawn, because nation is parameter for each aircraft. So server or mission editor can do hidden machination. Exactly what I said just 2 hours after anouncement of this feature and no reaction from developers, shame☹️

You can tell by the uniform the pilot is wearing.

What is the first date a g-suit becomes available in game?

You can’t see your own uniform in MP when “external views” is not turned on.

Found my own answer. Sometimes search does provide results! :)
