Looking for a new squad.

My preference of plane is American or German fighter.

What I need. First, actually fly. This is a very beneficial part of the squad. Otherwise, joining is pointless.

Second, actually fly IL2.  Also works out best given the forum this is posted in.

Third, have some people with some ability to actually fly and think at the same time.

I have joined 3 squads. First one was in Europe. Schedule didn't work. Second one, they just never fly. Almost literally. Third one, i spend more time looking for lost pilots than the enemy or target. It's really not that hard to communicate and follow direction but for some, a good friend included, it seems impossible.

I know there is at least 1 squad out there that fits that outline. Those are what I need. Now, if you also have a list of requirements, I would love to see them to see if I fit.

I would prefer a somewhat structured squad. Not looking to get drafted and salute my pc every time the C/O logs on but I also love organization. It works best when someone with knowledge forms the plan, leads the flights, and the rest follow.

Some are going to say I have an attitude. I disagree. Being straight forward about what I am looking for is only going to prevent myself and others from wasting time on another poor fit. I do not view my needs as unreasonable.  To me, they mostly seem like common sense. But remember, they are based solely on past experience so I feel the need to be clear to prevent repeating the same scenario.

Hi TAG. I know this isn't the first post you have made in this vein because I remember the previous one a few months back.

Did you have a good look at The DangerDogz? Did you speak to anyone there?

You don't have an attitude and you aren't being unreasonable. As you say, you are being you and are using an approach that suits you. Whilst you may think this style of approach is easier for you and also everyone else I believe it will only get you an answer from those that want to answer. However, I don't think you will get squads clambering over themselves to give you reasons as to why they think you would fit in because they want people to join and find out for themselves. Also, as a long term squad member I can say that a friendly and cherished flying schedule has been worked out over a period of time to take into account individual needs and requests. It isn't surprising that you have found schedules not to your liking because I believe they are tailored to suit the squad. In a way it all comes down to compromise and time.

As you mentioned above, you have joined a few squads and it turned out they were not for you. However, I think it may take more than a few attempts for you to find one you like. I can't imagine that most squads wouldn't mind you dipping your toes in to see if it works for you and them so I don't think you have to fret over wasting anyones' time. Try some more,  I believe doing this will be time well spent.

Good luck.

Hop on SRS and ask if anyone wants a wingman or make a post in the various server Discord channels (most have a channel like #looking-for-wingman). It's a great way to see if your style of play aligns with someone else's.
