Not blessed with 20/20 vision and wondering if anyone knows how to display speed and altitude in the info window? That would be a huge help in landing and flying in general instead of squinting at the cockpit instruments. I have looked at the how to guides and video but cannot a mention of this unless I missed it.

The cockpits are interactive (clickable with mouseover readings), mate. If you put your mouse pointer over the instruments you will have pretty visible readings!

If your interactive pit is not activated you can bind a mouse key for it here on the controls panel. Last option on the Aircraft Section. F10 will turn on/off the mouse interaction.

You missed nothing, my friend. You are referring to a "speed bar" and there's no speed bar in "IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover - Blitz". If you have a good HOTAS and on your joystick (or on your throttle) there's one button that you can use to zoom "forwards and backwards"... then do not hesitate: from today, start training practicing take offs and landings and using your very instruments on your dashboard. The best excuse to play this enjoyable game is to think about it not as a game but as software we use to improve our skill and knowledge on early 1940s air warfare. Trust me, make the effort, learn to fly using your instruments, and you'll feel a joy that no other combat flight sim may ever provide... (I know, you guys... I know... DCS is out there, but it is a study simulator, not a survey sim specialised on the 1940s era...).

You can also customize your info windows with lots of inputs (not sure about specific readings though).  ?
