Hi all

I have this RC model Fokker D7 made in depron and wood pending the maiden flight.
With so much time at home and bad weather, what could you do?

To be prepared for better times!!!

Cool, i was going to build this a few years ago but I think I will try again. Did you just use the drawings off his website or get better versions? he also does a 1/8th but in balsa though.

Hi again

All blueprints has their faults in some details, although this 1:12 D7 is very good. All in all, I adapted some details to get a stronger (although heavy) to survive bad landings in windy days . Yep I have doubled the weight but has a lot more power, autonomy and airfoil wing.
Battery is 195gr from total

If the Fokker flies well, I would build a 2,2 meter wingspan D7 with a 55cm3 gas engine (7-10 kg). This is like a small test.

In the same website there is a Fokker 1:4 scale plans (old but good plans)

The plan I have used:

I had a 1:5th scale Fokker DVII with Saito 125, it was pretty good but has some structural issues. I bought it second hand and the original owner didnt do a good job on the struts connections. I've downsized to smaller stuff but i have been thinking about getting another DVII, i'll use those plans as I have some depron.
