Karpenter1 Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) I had this happen twice already while flying the Ju-88 and can't figure out why: a loud, annoying buzzer turns on and stays on. It doesn't have anything to do with diving or recovering, both times it happened in level flight. It's not about the air-brakes being extended, or gear, or flaps, or a low-fuel warning as far as I can tell. Not an engine temperature warning, nor is it caused by any damage. It appears out of nowhere for no apparent reason and stays on for a few minutes before going silent for no apparent reason. Last time I noticed it turned off when I reached 500km/h while shallow-diving back to my base, but that could have been a coincidence; it didn't turn back on when I slowed down below 500. It gets quieter in gunner and pilot and bomb-sight positions, but I can still hear it. essay writer Edited February 2, 2021 by Karpenter1
firdimigdi Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 It's the contact altimeter. Check out the key bindings to see which correspond to setting it up.
TCW_Brzi_Joe Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 I was too lasy to set proper bindings for that (contact altimeter +/-), so my workaround is to fly Ju88 low whole time, and to deliver presents from less then 10m
JimTM Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Requiem has a video on using the contact altimeter in the Ju-88: 1 1
Chief_Mouser Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 The contact altimeter is bugged. The buzzer starts up again after climbing back UP through the altitude set and won't turn off again. I'll put in a bug report; just want to test a couple more times.
