Angry_Kitten Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 I had windows 7 with a crappy system around it. Things did look good to me on my lcd hdtv. NEW system is running windows 10 PRO with an asus dual rx 5500xt 8GB evo OC..... HMI is very different experience. EXtremely bright, need alot of time to get things figured out. Anyone have good suggestions as to how to readjust the system to the game for best results?
firdimigdi Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 That is primarily controlled by your GPU drivers in conjunction with the EDID returned for your tv. If settings for your GPU drivers can't be changed to make the display recognized as a PC monitor instead of a TV then you might need to override settings with a program called Custom Resolution Utility. Things to look for before resorting to the latter are: color output range and color bit depth. Ideally you want full range RGB.
Angry_Kitten Posted February 1, 2021 Author Posted February 1, 2021 the GPU and drivers recognize it as a led LCD HD tv monitor, just things look crappy on it however i have seen the MAIN photo site i use has been making images excessively bright last year or so, and with current monitor settings im getting photos to look like old 1960s color photos from national geographic.
