Thrustmaster flight rudder pedals

Picked up the Thrustmaster flight pack for getting back into IL2. The pedals are connected to the HOTAS controller.

I was thinking that using pedals instead of pivoting them would be the rudder controls. In the control panel controls the rudder pedals are on an x and y axis individually. Tried using the thrustmaster calibration program and it doesnt recognize the pedals.

 

Is there a command i can use in IL2 so pressing the left or right pedal will control the rudder
