Hi,

Baron210 From Portsmouth way,

Firstly, thanks for the campaign generator, it greatly adds a lot to the feeling and involvement and should be considered above some payware add ons, when the cash flow is running again for me ( after so much damage from covid) I will certainly donate to you.

So,  I have a question or possibly a request.

For me, when starting a mission, not much comes close to starting on the ramp from cold start, vs the runway.  Do you think that's a possibility.  ???  I have the quick mission generator, released by Syndicate, and that allows one to start from cold, I'm finding this really immersive.

I notices that you can alter the lines in the Misson file using notepad or some such text editor and " airstart" is set to the value of 2  I'm wondering whether to play with that in your generated mission to see if I can get that result to a cold ramp start??? Maybe there's more to this.

If you have an answer to this could it be done? Would you email me as well adolpho10@hotmail.com

Thank you,

Baron210  ( I also love DCS and FS2020 in VR  use MCE / Multi cockpit experience and elite).

You can use the app's internal config GUI to set parked start. The game's realism setting determines engine cold or warmed.

Be aware though that some airfields have the AI guys doing nutty things from a parked position. Even some runway starts have it too.

To the extent reasonably possible it is already there.  Choose parked start in advanced configuration and it will do what you want.

<Campaign>->Advanced Configuration->Mission Limits->Start Type

It comes with a warning: it may or may not work.  If it does not work on a given airfield then you have to revert to runway start

Cold Start was such a nice addition to PWCG. Too bad the game itself struggles to work with it.

It would be so nice if one could count on it working properly with each mission and each airfield.

I am sure this is something not even close to being on 1CGS radar.

Thank you for the replies.  I did try it with various aircraft in the quick mission generator, some planes have diabolical a.I and ended up floundering all over the place. Thanks once again. Safe flying ( until you get into a scrap).
