343KKT_Kintaro Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 1. Go to the official website and log in (on the upper right corner, click on "login": IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles ). 2. Go to "Profile". 3. In "Profile", go to "Licence keys". 4. On the corresponding line, copy the key code. 5. Go to Steam and log in. 6. Go to the lower left corner and click on the "Add game" link. 7. A menu opens, chose "Activate product on Steam". 8. Follow the instructions (step by step, give your agreement to all necessary requirements... paste the key code you copied... etc.). Good luck! 1

Hmm...OK, Well....I did that and yet when I go to Licesnse Keys in Profile....nothing is there. It says "You have no license keys." So like, yeah, very curious and I genuinely bought the game off of Steam, so I don't know what to make of this until I suppose I get a response to my Ticket? If they need me to prove it I can I have like an order and everything...I am perplexed why this is so difficult and asinine, I want to play the game I bought.

I noticed you titled the present thread "Unable to play Campaign using Launcher!". 2. I noticed you posted on the forum of another IL-2 Sturmovik game, which is contradictory as, obviously, only the mates on the correct forum will really bring some useful help. Let's start from the beginning: why using the word "campaign"? The present forum treats one game with no campaigns for sale. Did you already know that there are three different games titled "IL-2 Sturmovik"? a) Released in 2001 = "IL-2 Sturmovik" (since 2006 it is named "IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946") b) Released in 2011 = "IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover" (since 2017 it is replaced by "IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover - Blitz" and it is reunited in a series titled "Dover series") c) Released in 2013 = "IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad" (since 2017 it is reunited in a series titled "Great Battles series") The present forum deals with "b" ("IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover - Blitz" and its add-on "IL-2 Sturmovik: Desert Wings - Tobruk"). What did you really purchase? What product? Maybe you purchased "IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946"... which maybe gives an activation key (I don't know), but in my opinion such key wouldn't be appearing in your profile. Maybe you purchased "IL-2 Sturmovik: Desert Wings - Tobruk"... but it is not a campaign, it is an add-on that requires to purchase first the basic game in the Dover series which is "IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover - Blitz". If you go to the official website and you click on "store" you'll see on the left hand side of the page, enclosed in the red rectangle, all the products compatible with the Great Battles series. Enclosed in the blue rectangle you'll see all products compatible with the Dover series (two products for the moment). In any case, the purchase of any of those products (whatever the color of the rectangle) should make appear the corresponding activation key in your profile. My advice is: go back to Steam and check in whatever records you may find the actual name of what you actually purchased.

The Tobruk-thread was an error/mistake on my part; I looked before leaping, as it were. I ought perhaps to have deleted that so, mea culpa. Pleased to clear that up. Long story short, I was in "Panic Mode" and posted the same thing , but in this case here a particular corner of the wrong area, so, I apologize for such. In any event, I very definitely purchased IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad, but now I have an ticket opened and ideally they get back to me with regards of what to do.
Readman35 Posted January 30, 2021 Author Posted January 30, 2021 (edited) Anyway, I ended up requesting a Steam Refund. What a joke. It kept asking me for the Windows .net 3.5 update when I have windows 10 and version 4.0 of that, and their answer was "download the Installer" and then I did, and it acted like I didn't own the game, which I did, and then their brilliant advice was "install it on Steam" which again was the whole problem to begin wit, around and around we go. How utterly asinine. . Get it together. Lame. Edited January 30, 2021 by Readman35
