ITA-SUP-Bigans Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 (edited) I'm not a painter. I found this template by Checkmysix, skin modified by 5th Barone. I modified it to be more historical close to the ones employed by 239 sq BaT Ju 87 R2 from Derna 04/12/1941 in air strike in Bir El Gobi II Battle. These skins work since August 1941 till Dicember 1941 as later typed. Italian stukas (called Pìcchiatelli) were employed over the desert, even if they never had a desert skin and over Mediterrenean sea in antiship missions. Finished planes: - Comandante di Squadriglia Capitano Giuseppe Cenni; - nn.1 -> 6 unknown pilots; - n.7 Vice Comandante di Squadriglia Capitano Marco Larcher; - nn.8->11 unknown pilots. Historical pictures could be seen at: - "Regia Aeronautica vol.1 - A pictorial History of the Italian Air Force 1940-1943" di Christopher Shores" pag. 28 , even if it referred to Lecce 1941 Greek Campaign and it had white underwings fasces, the neutral background was ordered by Foglio d'ordine n. 86080 del 25-08-1941; - Ali Straniere in Italia - Gli Stuka della Regia La Bancarella Aeronautica Torino, Apostolo-Becchetti-Gueli pag.40, the yellow band on the engine was introduced by Foglio d'ordine n. 1049 del 22/06/1941 WAIT!!! CONTAIN FASCES (avoid to download if offensive for you) DOWNLOAD FROM HERE https://www.mediafire.com/file/a5w5rlfp8773iqk/Ju+87+sq+239+Aug-Dec+1941+Derna.zip/file estract files by the unzipped folder into: ...:\Users\.....\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\PaintSchemes\Skins\tobruk_Ju-87B-2_Trop Any historical help/suggestion about these skins are welcome, better if assisted by books and pictures Edited March 5, 2021 by ITA-SUP-Bigans 1
5th_Barone Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 I only released the skin, no templates. The template I used for my stuka skins was made by "checkmysix" as stated on my link. Cheers 1
ITA-SUP-Bigans Posted January 28, 2021 Author Posted January 28, 2021 (edited) Ok so thx to checkmysix too! Edited January 28, 2021 by ITA-SUP-Bigans
5th_Barone Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 (edited) Usually others user's skin are not used for making your owns (apart form default ones), at least ask before to the author. It's better to use templates since they are made for skin making and are also layered. A better choice if you want to do some painting. I suggest you to use these for the stukas. It's the one I also used for mine. Edited March 8, 2021 by 5th_Barone

I thought that when someone make some presents (your 236+237 skins) to community, they can be used and modified as freeware, as you didn't type any kind of Prohibition or copyright limitation. Maybe you don't remember but, on 8th December 2020 I typed to you on Discord server, asking if you can do 239 skins and you answered you don't have time to make them (see the chat below). So I simply modified them to create a not professional ones, a present to community like you did with 236+237 skins, waiting for more professional ones. Please, answer here if you want that I clean the link to these skins. It wasn't my intent to hurt you. Quote "It's better to use templates since they are made for skin making and are also layered. As I typed that I'm not a painter, all your suggestions are for me "arab language" I am only able to open them with paint and made some light modifications. Edited March 12, 2021 by ITA-SUP-Bigans
5th_Barone Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 No problem for me, as stated on the place where my skin are, all works are free and you just need to give credit to the author, as you did. Of course others may state differently. Always check. What I was trying to say is that skins are not the best starting point for making your own, asking to the author you could get what base-template they used or maybe they'll share their own if they have one. Template are the best solution for different reasons: Templates are made in order to let other people make their own skins. They have layers or masks that make your work incredibly easier. For a rookie they usually offer all the marking already there so you can just concentrate with the camouflage. They usually are in psd file but you can use free software like gimp. There are a lot of tutorial in the net which are quite simple (I started like this and honestly speaking I'm an amateur, my skins surely are not the best). Templates will get your life easier especially if you start from scratch with skinning! I can guarantee you that! 1 1
ITA-SUP-Bigans Posted March 14, 2021 Author Posted March 14, 2021 (edited) I don't think that skinner will be my interest in future, because I should to spend to many time in learning other software better than paint. Level, template are for me concept far to understand. These skins should be considered as a substituted of more professional ones, if someone will be interested in doing these ones better.
